CAD Technician

Ingenium is currently seeking to fill an CAD Technician position in our Tampa-based (Land O’ Lakes) office. This role is ideal for an experienced CAD Technician interested in a fast-paced technical role supporting Design Engineers and Project Managers. The ideal candidate will be familiar with AutoCAD and Civil 3D design software and have experience in reading and interpreting design plans and markups. The candidate will be required to work as a part of a team of technicians and engineers and assist in the design development and plans production for varying site development projects, and will also be expected to work autonomously in project setup, revisions and compilation of design documents. Attention to detail, the ability to maintain a high level of productivity, review design for adherence to client expectations and standards, and willingness to take direction on design process and specific design elements is key. Additional requirements include the ability to speak and write clearly and concisely and the possession of strong organizational skills.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Preparation of engineering documents and construction plans
• Performing data collection & data entry tasks
• Performing spreadsheet analyses
• Technical report preparation
• Anticipating potential project issues and facilitating their resolution
• Maintaining a proficiency with CAD design software required by client
• Ability to read & interpret construction plans, design standards, guidelines, and client scope • Review of design for adherence to client expectations and standards 

Required Education and Experience:
Qualified candidates will have a High School or Technical School education with courses in computer-aided drafting or 2 + years of equivalent experience.  Proven skill with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a must.
