Project Engineer II
Ingenium is currently seeking to fill a Project Engineer II position in both our Tampa and Atlanta area offices. This role is ideal for an engineering graduate with 2-5 years of relevant experience who is eager to grow to the next level of autonomy. The ideal candidate has a fundamental knowledge of Land Development projects and a demonstrated passion for being involved Civil design as it relates to the infrastructure within our community. The Project Engineer II is a critical role that provides engineering and design support to Project Managers and Senior Engineers. As a result, the candidate can expect to be involved in the development and plans production on civil engineering projects of varying size and complexity, and gain first-hand experience in client communications, jurisdictional networking, and documentation of standards and design processes. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are essential to the successful candidate as he/she will be challenged to provide innovative solutions to project issues using current design standards and guidelines.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Preparation of engineering documents and construction plans meeting client expectations, industry standards, and jurisdictional requirements
-Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D and other CAD design software
-Ability to read and interpret construction plans, design standards, and client scope
-Ability to review designs for adherence to standards and develop mark-ups for supporting CAD staff
-Ability to perform data collection, data entry and analysis of data in the preparation of technical reports
-Continuous monitoring of the quality of assignments, tasks, and project deliverables
-Willingness to provide assistance to Project Managers and Senior Engineers as required for design solutions and other project goals
Required Education and Experience:
Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university. EIT certification is preferred, with PE certification a goal within 4 years. Ideally this position will advance to a Senior Engineer or Project Manager role with progressive experience and proper certification.
Proficiency with AutoCad Civil 3D with hands-on project experience is a plus.
