Project Manager 

We are currently seeking to hire a Project Manager in both our Tampa and Atlanta based offices. This role is ideal for an experienced Civil Engineer or Project Manager looking to provide  expertise for the design development and plans production for projects of varying size and complexity in both the public and private sector. The Project Manager will be challenged to provide innovative solutions to project issues using current design standards and guidelines and will also assist Senior Leadership in maintaining client communications and documenting the design process and design decisions.

The Project Manager is a critical role responsible for managing and overseeing project teams, coordinating production schedules and tasks, and prioritizing client communications. Responsibilities include marketing and/or proposal preparation, project schedule preparation and execution, staff assignments, tracking of project budget, management of project schedule, portions of project accounting, and all design oversight-related tasks necessary to provide a quality product. The Project Manager is required to understand and communicate goals and priorities to the project team, anticipate potential project issues and employ experienced-based plans to facilitate their resolution. The PM will develop and implement project staffing plans, and provide guidance to the project team to maintain a high level of productivity. The Project Manager may be Engineer of Record (EOR) or Project Designer on specific documents, plans, and/or tasks for a project, and is required to review design for adherence to company and client expectations and standards, while monitoring schedule, budget, and quality of project deliverables. Multi-tasking and managing multiple projects is required. Oversight and effective management of sub consultants is required. Additional requirements/attributes include excellent written and oral communication skills, presentation skills and/or public speaking; preparation of monthly progress reports, assisting Project Engineers and Leadership as needed to facilitate corporate initiatives.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Client management responsibilities to maintain client relationships
– Identifying project opportunities (leads) and facilitating proposal development for current clients
-Contracting and Negotiations processes, including establishing project budget and schedule
-Supervising Engineering staff developing and implementing a project staffing plan and providing motivation and guidance to the team to maintain a high level of productivity
-Understanding and communicating client goals and priorities to the project team establishing project priorities and standards
-Anticipating potential project issues and facilitating their resolution
-Be assigned as EOR on specific documents, plans and/or tasks as determined by Senior Leadership
-Review of design for adherence to client expectations, standards, and scope
-Maintaining a proficiency with CAD design software required by client Provision of mark-ups and guidance to junior staff
-Continuous monitoring of schedule, budget, and quality of project deliverables
-Provide assistance to leadership as required to facilitate operational functions of the branch office

Required Education, Experience & Attributes:
-Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or an equivalent field of study suitable to Project Management as determined by Leadership
-4+ years relevant project lead experience, with experience managing a team of people.
-PE License preferred 
-Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to draft correspondences and other communications quickly with minimum direction
-Keen attention to detail with ability to track and manage multiple projects at one time
-Ability to act efficiently on last minute assignments, tasks, and projects
-Proficiency with Civil 3D, CAD, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Publisher, MS PowerPoint, Source Gear Vault, Vision
-Ability to work with and understand project budgets
-Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team
-Ease in getting along with team members at all levels
-Consistency and a high degree of quality in work and execution of deliverables and initiatives
